Shekinah Arts! Peforming Arts Studio

"Touching The Heart of God Through The Arts!"

Purpose

The purpose of Shekinah Arts! is to enrich individuals, families, and the community through Christian-based instruction of the performing arts.

 

Mission

  • To provide quality training and performance experience for all regardless of race, religion, gender, or income.
  • To provide and safe haven that fosters the exploration of one’s innermost feelings, thoughts, and talents.
  • To provide a Christ-centered alternative to traditional performing arts training.

Vision

Our vision is that all who participate (students, audience members, sponsors, etc.) will gain:

  • A hunger for excellence in all facets of life.
  • Valuable relationships.
  • A new found honor and reverence for God.

Our vision is that all who participate, whether as a student or audience member, will be touched and experience a more intimate connection with God.

 

Our vision is also that Shekinah Arts! will be a state of the art organization providing opportunities in Dance, Theatre, Vocal Technique, Foreign Language Development, and the Visual Arts.  It is our goal that we will be able to offer after-school programs as well.

Class Descriptions & Schedule

Classes will be held on Saturdays, March 5, 2005-May 14, 2005

**There will be no class March 26, 2005 in observance of Easter.

 

Hip Hop Classes:

Class utilizes Christian Hip Hip music, modest & tasteful choreography & clothing.

  • Kidz Praize! (Ages 5-9): 1:30-2:15
  • Holy Hip Hop (10 & up):  3:30-4:30

Dress Code: Sweat Pants or shorts, t-shirt, sneakers

 

Praise Dance & Spiritual Movement Classes:

Class combines the use of Ballet, Modern, African Folk Dance & Improvisational Dance to glorify the name of the Lord!

  • Jr. Praize & Spiritual Movement (Ages 5-9): 2:30-3:15
  • Spiritual Movement (Ages 10 & up): 4:45-5:45
  • Spritual Movement for Adults: 6:00-7:00

Dress Code: Sweat pants or shorts, t-shirt, bare feet, ballet slippers, or lyrical shoes.

 

Tuition & Payment Information:

  • Tuition is $50 for the entire session! and is due at the time of registration.  A $25 charge will be applied to all returned checks.
  • Registration form can be obtained at KCPR or by email.
  • Registration & Payment can be completed at/or mailed to KCPR P.O. Box 67, Worton, MD 21678. Make checks & money orders payable to: Tamika Sudler-Shekinah Arts.
  • Shekinah Arts! is an independent agency and is NOT affiliated with KCPR.   

Dance Concert:

The first annual dance concert will showcase the accomplishments of students as well as other dance ministries on the Eastern Shore.  The dance concert will be held at:

Kent County High School, May 21, 2005 at 6:00pm. Doors Open at 5:30! Get there early!!!
